MARBLE GRINDING & POLISHING INC SEALERS-TYPES OF STONE PRODUCTS-CLEANING-DIAMOND POLISHING COMPANY. MARBLE,TRAVERTINE,HONING,LIPPAGE,REMOVAL,POLISHING,GRINDING,MASTIC REMOVAL-CONCRETE POLISHING.

There are many types of different stones that you can choose to decorate your floors with. Some are soft, some are softer, some are hard and some are a mixed material. No matter which type you select, even new materials from the tile store will need a protective seal. At the factory they do not protect the stone at all. No sealers are applied at the manufacturing plant. It's up to the individual homeowner or marble installer to put a protective coat of sealer on the surface of the marble. This is true of every type of stone material, because stone is very porous and will stain very easily. Once marble is stained it will be very expensive to get rid of the stain. Most of the time, by trying to remove the stain, the surface polish will also be removed, forcing you to spend more money to restore it. When sealing any marble product the right sealer must be applied to make sure that surface is protected, otherwise you are just wasting money. It is suggested that an impregnator / sealer be used. Onother missedunderstood theory, sealers do not protect the stone surface against wear or scratches, it's job is to fight against staining of spilled liquids onto the stone.
There is another product that can be used instead of a sealer. This product has only been out on the market for a few years, and it seems to be the best protection for marble materials. This product is called Crystallization. The way it works: after the restoration process is complete, the last step is to apply this product on the surface of the marble, then burn it on the surface ,USING A HIGH SPEED BUFFING MACHINE AND USING STEEL WOOL WHERE APPLICABLE to make it part of the stone. The surface of the stone will become harder and it will be much more impenetrable. I can tell you from experience that this works. I have done a church floor with this product. After 6 years there is still very little wear on the surface of the marble, and you know how many feet walk inside a church each week.
